Have you watched a curling match and thought that you would love to find out more about this interesting sport? Have you wondered…who gets to do the “sweeping” and who does the “throwing”? Well, you are in luck! We have answers to these questions and so much more. Stop by the Schenectady Curling Club this October and give it a shot! (no pun intended) SCC will be holding their fall open houses the first weekend in October where we will give you free curling instructions, show you how to play and even give you the opportunity to throw a few stones yourself! Curling is a lot of fun and guess what else…it’s great exercise too! So, join us during our open houses to give this great sport a whirl!

• Saturday, October 5, 2013: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Please be prepared if you plan to go out on the ice with us. Wear gloves, and warm, comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Layers are best. The temperature on the ice is about 38 degrees. Bring clean, rubber-soled footwear, such as sneakers, to change into. Curling equipment will be available for your use. And…the best part…this is all FREE!!! So, now you have no excuse not to come down and check us out!
