Currently, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) Curling Club is the only college organization based here at SCC. The RPI club was founded in 2008 and has about 30 active members who practice 2-3 times a week at SCC. They participate in bonspiels throughout the GNCC, and in 2011 they sent a team to College Nationals for the first time. The team consisted of Marissa Wright (Skip), Matt Wong (Vice), Jay Chamberlin (Second), and Steve Wood (Lead).
