Congratulations to Team Machold who became the A Event Finalists at this weekend's 60th Annual Fisherman’s Bonspiel at the Royal Kingston Curling Club in Kingston, ON. This event boasted 48 teams and Team Machold swept through all their matches to land in the A Finals. Dan Machold led his crew of Mike Stefanik, Brian Damon and Charlie Brown to the A Finals and came up just short in that game.
Team Machold won their first match Thursday night in just 4 ends! They followed this up with what was initially a very close game...until they stole 2 in the 6th and 5 in the 7th. Next up they won again in another tight match until they stole one in the 7th to go up by 3. They then continued their winning streak by winning by one after coming home tied with hammer. That brought them to the A event semi’s which they won handily in only 4 ends.
