Have you seen a game of curling and thought you would love to play this interesting sport? Then why not stop by the Schenectady Curling Club and give it a shot? And best of all... it's FREE!

We welcome everybody to come during our open houses or any time during the curling season. During open houses, we will give you curling instructions, show you how to play and throw stones and even give you the opportunity to throw a few stones yourself. Curling is a lot of fun and it's great exercise. Don't spend another winter season with cabin fever!

Saturday, October 6th: 10:00 am — 3:00 pm

What do you need?

Just your warm, loose clothing (layers help), gloves, sneakers, and a sense of humor. Curling is a low cost, high fun sport. Nearly all of the equipment necessary to play is provided by the club. Please bring clean sneakers with you to change into, since we try to keep our ice surface clean.

Where do you go?

The Schenectady Curling Club is conveniently located on 1084 Balltown Road across the street from the Niskayuna Fire Station.

Well, you are in luck! We have answers to these questions and so much more. Stop by the Schenectady Curling Club this October and give it a shot! (no pun intended) SCC will be holding their fall open houses the first weekend in October where we will show you how to play and even give you the opportunity to throw a few stones yourself! Curling is a lot of fun and guess what else…it's great exercise too! So, join us during our FREE open houses to give this great sport a whirl!

Advanced registration is encouraged at our EventBrite Pre-Registration portal.
Walk-ins are welcome; priority will be given to advanced registrants.

Please be prepared if you plan to go out on the ice with us. Wear gloves, and warm, comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Layers are best. The temperature on the ice is about 38 degrees. Bring clean, rubber-soled footwear, such as sneakers, to change into. Curling equipment will be available for your use.  So, now you have no excuse not to come down and check us out!

1. Click on the link: SCC 2015-2016 Membership Online Form
2. Follow steps to enter contact information.
3. Click "Continue" at the bottom of the page, and proceed to league sign-up.
4. Follow steps to specify league preferences.  Leagues are organized and presented by day of the week (Sun-Fri, w/Blackhall & Van de Car at the end).  Use the "Continue" (and "Back") buttons at the bottom of each page to navigate.
5. Note: Some fields are required; these are denoted with an asterisk (*).
6. On the final page, click "Submit"
7. After submitting, links will be given to either a) edit your response, or b) submit a new response.
8. An automated receipt acknowledging your submission will be sent to the primary email address that you specified. The membership team will also be notified of the submission.
9. Once someone from the membership committee has reviewed your information and league preferences, a second email will be sent to confirm membership dues and give payment information.
